Hours of Operation: Service hours are from 0630 to 1700. Healthcare workers (HCWs) will not be required to work more than 80 hours in a two-week period.

Scheduling: The representative will schedule specific days, hours, and shift lengths. Schedules for each two-week period will be provided one month in advance by the government supervisor or their representative.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of a behavioral science program with specialized training in substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment, resulting in a certificate.
• Certification: Possession and maintenance of a national certification credential from either the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors, National Board of Certification Counselors, or International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse.
• Experience: Minimum of one year working as a Substance Abuse Counselor following graduation.
• Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
• Licensure: Hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Addictions Counselor.
